Umao
Umao (Konnogvardeysky Boulevard, 11, St. Petersburg) – located behind the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall, and opposite the row of expensive eateries such as Stroganoff Steak House, Umao serves a variety of reasonably-priced Asian dishes, such as Sweet and sour soup with salmon, Gorengan chicken, chicken teriyaki noodles, and dim sum with chicken and shitake mushrooms.
It’s hard to miss this restaurant. The décor is contemporary Asian chic: think plain cream-colored walls and wooden tables — with its brown paper placemats, transparent plastic chairs, glass lampshades, and branches and fairy lights adorning the capacious windowsills.
